Morning yoga at Westend

Yoga classes available at Westend from October on!? When? Where? Who with?

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:15 to 8:15 AM on the 7th floor of the Westend Gate building.

For anyone who wants to treat their mind and body to a bit of relaxation, we have prepared a regular 60-minute spell of early morning hatha yoga. Our instructor will guide you through a series of breathing techniques, warm-up exercises, and basic asanas for people of all ages. All you need is a bit of resolve and a comfy outfit – no shoes necessary as we all practice yoga barefoot. Oh, and don’t worry, yoga mats and fun will be provided free of charge, too!

The lessons are free of charge and open to all Westend business zone visitors – and beginners are welcome too! All you have to do is make a booking via our registration webpage and turn up about 10 minutes before your lesson is due to begin.

It doesn’t matter what brought you onto the yoga mat – all that matters is that you’re on it!

Zuzana, Yoga Instructor:

I went to my first yoga lesson when I was at university – and I must say it was love at first sight! I signed up for a course in hatha yoga, I took acro yoga lessons, and I also enrolled in training sessions focused on balanced diets and whole-body nutrition. When I look back, I probably took the greatest amount of pleasure in the intensive 1-year Hatha yoga course I took in Prague, which was supervised by Veronika Karmanová. My journey is nowhere near its end, though. I like every new yogi coming to my lessons, no matter how advanced or inexperienced they might be. The only thing you need, really, is a desire to practice yoga!

Hatha joga

Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced type of yoga. It’s a time-tested practice that doesn’t just exercise your body, but also your breathing and mind. It’s suitable for anyone who’s interested and the lessons usually focus on physical positions (asanas), short breathing exercises, and relaxation. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants to exercise their body, ease their mind, and do away with everyday stress.

Hatha yoga effects:

  • Higher physical and mental stability
  • Greater overall body strength
  • Better concentration
  • Active relaxation
